"...taking an unchanging God to a changing world through worship, fellowship and service since 1840."
Welcome to the Mt. Hermon Presbyterian Church website! As a result of your exploring our website, we hope that you will find your way to join with us in worship on Sunday mornings at 11: 00 am. Ours is a small congregation of approximately sixty members with a history dating back to 1840. Today, over one-hundred and seventy years later, we continue to be like those who founded the congregation as we take an unchanging God to a changing world through worship, fellowship and service.
We are a congregation in the Presbyterian Church(USA). Our congregation is located in the Presbytery of Shenango. The Presbytery of Shenango is one of sixteen presbyteries making up the Synod of the Trinity.
Please don't hesitate to call the church office by dialing 724.924.2737, or by e-mailing our pastor, Dr. John R. "Bob" Loch, at pastor@CometoMtHermon.org if you have questions, or would like to explore affiliating with the Mt. Hermon congregation. You may also reach Pastor Bob by calling him direct on his cell phone at 330.559.7500.
Dr. John R. "Bob" Loch is our Stated Supply Pastor. Dr. Loch is a Commissioned Lay Pastor in the PC(USA) serving in the Presbytery of Shenango. He completed his studies to become a Commissioned Lay Pastor in 2006 through the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary. He previously served for forty-two years in dean/director roles at the University of Pittsburgh and at Youngstown State University. Dr. Loch earned the Bachelor of Arts degree from Grove City College ('62) and a masters' degree in Counseling ('66) and the Ph.D. degree ('72) from the University of Pittsburgh.
The words, "Come to Mt. Hermon," are a part of the domain name for our website. But, those words also represent a sincere invitation that we extend to you to come and experience our Spirit-filled congregation in worship, in fellowship and in the service of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
